Research report: Adobe Systems

Analyst Walter Pritchard of Cowen & Co. rated Adobe Systems (ADBE) of San Jose outperform, saying he expects “May Q results that are in line to slightly ahead of our [estimates]” driven by a strong start of sales of its Creative Suite 3 product. He predicted a 10 to 30 percent stock out-performance.

The company has an interest in making sure the May results are viewed positively, he said, because a strong perceived start could “fuel end-market excitement” while the opposite could lead to a perception that CS3 is “slow out of the gate.”

Adobe Systems is scheduled to report on its second-quarter financial results today.
