Democratic candidates have not been eager to boast about the record of Obama and the current Congress, nor can they point to economic successes. And so they’ve had to stretch quite a bit to develop their campaign talking points. One of the most common says that Republicans have given tax breaks to companies that do so — usually referring to tax cuts that applied to everyone. (You could just as easily say they support tax cuts for child molesters, and it would be just as true.)
So the Republican Governors’ Association’s new ad against Ohio Gov. Ted Strickland, D, hits just the right note:
