» Nollenberger Capital Partners hired Gene Ramirez as managing director. He was a director at the Stanford Group Company.

» MCF Asset Management promoted Steve A. Ledger as president and John D. Hiestand as chief operating officer, and hired James “Jay” Diamonon as director of sales.

» Wells Fargo & Co. promoted Edwin Ng to metro Peninsula district manager. He was VP.

» Woodruff-Sawyer & Co. named Bill White as Corporate and Executive Protection practice leader. He joined the firm in 1997 and was made partner in 2001.

» Christopher B. Hockett joined Davis Polk & Wardwell as a partner in Menlo Park. He was a partner at Bingham McCutchen LLP.

» San Mateo Fastsigns owners Dave and Linda Skromme were recognized at the company’s annual convention for achieving more than $1 million in total sales from Oct. 1, 2006, through Sept. 30, 2007. Inside sales representative Patrick Gin also received an Outstanding Sales Recognition award.
