Landec Corp. expands packaging deal with Chiquita

Apio Inc, the food packaging subsidiary of Menlo Park-based Landec Corporation (LNDC), has expanded a 2004 joint technology license and supply deal with Chiquita Brands International Inc. (CQB) for the use of Landec’s packaging technology for bananas.

In addition, the companies signed a new agreement using Landec’s BreathWay packaging for avocados.
