HP extends tender offer for Opsware

Palo Alto’s Hewlett-Packard Co. (HPQ) has extended its tender offer for all the common stock of Sunnyvale’s Opsware Inc. (OPSW), a data center software maker, to Friday, Sept. 14 at 5 p.m., New York City time.

The offer was previously set to expire as of midnight Thursday, when around 93.9 million Opsware shares had been tendered and not withdrawn from the officer.
