Glu Mobile acquires Chinese mobile games publisher

San Mateo-based Glu Mobile Inc. (GLUU) has agreed to acquire Beijing-based Zhangzhong MIG Information Technology Co. Ltd., a mobile game developer and publisher, for up to $39.7 million in cash.

MIG CEO Wang Bin will serve as general manager in China, and MIG’s approximately 80 employees will continue to develop and publish mobile games for the Chinese market on behalf of Glu.
