Friendster launches outside developer program

San Francisco-based social networking site Friendster Inc. on Tuesday launched a directory of more than 180 applications from outside developers available for use by customers.

The Friendster Developer Program, which follows in the footsteps of similar programs by sites such as Facebook, was released as a pilot program on Oct. 25.
