Foundation opens new office on Peninsula

The Silicon Valley Community Foundation has opened a new office at 2440 West El Camino Real in Mountain View to serve both San Mateo and Santa Clara counties.

The office includes conference facilities for use by community groups and will consolidate staff previously housed at three different locations.

An open house offering tours of the office will take place Thursday, Oct. 11 from 5 to 7 p.m.

The community foundation, a philanthropic organization formed through a merger of the Peninsula Community Foundation and the Community Foundation Silicon Valley, has $1.9 billion in assets under management.
