Flixster Joins Google OpenSocial

San Francisco-based Flixster, a social networking site devoted to movies, has joined Google Inc.’s (GOOG) OpenSocial API initiative, company officials said Friday.

OpenSocial supports development of web applications that can operate across multiple social-networking site platforms.

Flixster is already available on Facebook, where it is a top 10 application, the company said.
