Flashback: Lawrence O’Donnell has total meltdown on MSNBC over Swift Boat Vets

In light of Lawrence O’Donnell’s racially-tinged and inappropriate comments about the RNC’s Michael Steele, a former MSNBC producer contacted me with this clip of O’Donnell having a total on air meltdown while trying to have a discussion with Pat Buchanan and former Swift Boat Veterans for Truth leader John O’Neill in 2004. According to the producer, O’Donnell was not allowed on MSNBC for months after this episode. Now that he has his own show, the producer says “It’s only a matter of time until he totally implodes on air. It should be spectacular.”
