Energy leadership honored by local business group

Small Business California, the San Francisco-based business advocacy group, has named several national political figures as this year’s recipients of its Small Business Hero Award for their leadership on energy and global warming issues.

Those named include U.S. Sen. John Kerry, D-Mass., Sen. Olympia Snowe, R-Maine, and U.S. Rep. Nydia Velasquez, D-New York.

The awards were scheduled to be presented in Washington, D.C. on Thursday.
