Family health center close to finding new home

The Department of Public Health’s OMI Family Center may find a new home at 1701 Ocean Ave.

Supervisor Gerardo Sandoval has drafted a resolution approving a lease agreement for the family program, which is currently operating out of 1760 Mission St. on a month-to-month basis. The proposed 10-year lease of the 5,000-square-foot building on Ocean Avenue is for $12,100 a month. The family center serves the Oceanview-Merced Heights-Ingleside neighborhood as a walk-in clinic for those with mental health needs.

The Board of Supervisors Budget and Finance Committee will vote on the lease agreement Wednesday, 1 p.m, at City Hall, Room 250.
