Puppies will strut down a red carpet at San Francisco International Airport on Tuesday morning as they hop on a flight to their new homes in New York. Virgin America is assisting San Francisco Animal Care and Control by flying the Chihuahuas so they can be adopted in time for the holidays. An overpopulation of the tiny dogs in California has forced shelters to send them east, where there’s demand for Chihuahuas.
