The founder of AGI Capital, a San Francisco real estate investment and development firm, received the excellence in business award from the California Asian Pacific Islander Joint Legislative Caucus on Tuesday in the chambers of the state Assembly in Sacramento. The nine-year-old firm has completed more than $500 million of development and investment opportunities.

New Urban Properties LLC, a San Francisco real estate operating company, said it has purchased the 1907 office building from San Francisco investor Leslie Tang Shillings’ LTDD Inc., which has owned 625 Market St. since June 2003. The purchase price was in excess of $25 million. The 14-story building is 71,345 square feet and was designed by George Applegarth.
