Bush's Holiday Message

It's really tough coming back from a five-day break — especially when one is sick for the bulk of it. Nevertheless, today I toughed it out. I decided to touch upon the president's current relationship with Congress, just as he jets off this week for diplomatic stops in Europe and the Middle East. While the Democrats are making plans to do as they please, Bush seems to be saying, “Not so fast, you guys. Remember, I'm still relevant, being that I'm still the commander in chief here.” We shall see if the prior talk of bipartisanship from both sides ends up just being that: talk.
