Buck, Bennet pan NAACP study on ‘racist’ tea partiers

During their debate this morning, David Gregory presented Colorado’s Senate candidates — incumbent Democrat Michael Bennet and Republican Ken Buck — with a soon-to-be released study by a handful of left-wing groups and the NAACP that tries to tar the Tea Party as a racist movement.

Buck, naturally, rejected the study out of hand, and said he had not seen any of that in the 800 Colorado events he had attentded. Bennet’s reaction was interesting because it was almost identical. He said he had spoken to tea partiers in Republican parts of the state, then echoed Buck’s answer: “I haven’t seen a lot of that either.”
