Agilent to Acquire Velocity11

Santa Clara-based Agilent Technologies Inc. (A) has agreed to acquired Menlo Park-based Velocity11 for an undisclosed amount, the companies announced Wednesday.

The privately-held Velocity11 specializes in automation and robotics for the life science laboratory market.

Agilent will add Velocity11’s hardware and software to the workflow solutions it offers to customers in the pharmaceutical, biotech and academic research markets.
