When USF’s College of Arts and Sciences has its graduation today, there will be a surprising valedictorian giving the commencement speech. Tavo Hall, a shortstop on the Dons baseball team, is the first athlete to be valedictorian in more than 20 years. The international studies major finished with a grade-point average of 3.85. He still has another year of eligibility left.
