Fortune 40 Under 40: On Thursday at Zynga headquarters in The City, some 250 leaders, including many in the tech industry, turned out to acknowledge Fortune’s most influential people under 40 in business. Attendees included Mayor Ed Lee, Mark Pincus of Zynga, Tim Westergren of Pandora and Andrew Serwer of Fortune.

Edgewood event aids needy
Edgewood Hope Ball: Edgewood Center for Children and Families celebrated its 160th anniversary with its fifth black-tie gala — featuring dining, dancing and a silent auction — on Oct. 22 at the Palace Hotel in The City. Proceeds will go toward the group’s mission to help thousands of Bay Area residents overcome challenges including abuse, neglect and mental illness.

Fall Antiques Show Preview Party: Chef Tyler Florence hosted a gala meal at Fort Mason’s Festival Pavilion on Wednesday to kick off the 30th San Francisco Fall Antiques Show. The show (and sale) of decorative objects benefits Enterprise for High School Students, which works to help teens attain career goals.
