St. Francis benefactors gather for Holiday Hob Nob on the Hill

Holiday Hob Nob on the Hill: The annual fundraiser for St. Francis Memorial Hospital’s programs and services — including the facility’s new critical care unit — took place Dec. 2 at the Fairmont Hotel in The City. The progressive gala started with cocktails in the Venetian Room, and was followed by a three-course meal in the Gold Room and desserts and dancing back in the Venetian Room.

Designer wreaths aid kids  

Jingle & Mingle: Children of Shelters presented its 2011 Designer Wreath Auction, a benefit for homeless children, on Dec. 1 at the Presidio Golden Gate Club. Dozens of exquisite wreaths created by Jay Jeffers, Martha Angus, Wick Design Group, Ken Fulk, Restoration Hardware, Barbara Scavullo Design, J. Weiss Design, Shirley Robinson Painted Finishes, Adam P. Gale, Flowers Claire Marie, Tish Key Design and others were up for bid. 

SF Opera patrons spread holiday cheer

Holiday Cheers: The San Francisco Opera Guild hosted its annual holiday celebration Dec. 7 at the Westin St. Francis Hotel. Proceeds from the benefit, which was co-chaired by Nafiseh Lindberg and Michelle Ritchie, go to opera education programs and free live holiday music performances in local pediatric hospitals, hospices and senior centers.
