Scoop: With $170 million, Taylor Swift tops Forbes’ highest earning celebs list

Taylor Swift’s income is the stuff of wildest dreams: The pop diva made $170 million in the past year, giving her the top position on the 2016 Forbes Celebrity 100 list.

The earnings mostly came from her 1989 World Tour, in which she smashed the Rolling Stones’ North American touring record, grossing $200 million on the continent (and a quarter of a billion dollars in total). Other income sources included promotions for Diet Coke, Keds and Apple.

Forbes notes that the “Blank Space” singer’s sum is far from last year’s top celebrity earner, Floyd Mayweather, who pulled in $300 million in 2015 after the fight of the century with Manny Pacquiao. Yet it’s significantly more than last year’s highest-paid musician, her rival Katy Perry, who banked $135 million.

Swift out-earned ex-boyfriend Calvin Harris, who claimed the list’s No. 21 spot with $63 million. Had they stayed together, they would have been the top-earning Celebrity 100 couple, more than Beyonce and Jay Z’s $107.5 million.

Other top 10 earners included boy band One Direction at No. 2 with $110 million, actor-comedian Kevin Hart at No. 6 with $87.5 million and self-proclaimed “king of media” Howard Stern at No. 7 with $85 million.

Additional pop stars on the 2016 list include: Adele at No. 9 with $80.5 million, Madonna at No. 12 with $76.5 million, Rihanna at No. 13 with $75 million and Perry at No. 63 with $41 million.

Kim Kardashian is featured on the magazine’s cover. She’s No. 42 on the list with $51 million. Forbes says 40 per cent of her pay this year came from her mobile game Kim Kardashian: Hollywood.

JETER, DAVIS WED

Derek Jeter and Hannah Davis are lookin’ mighty fine.

The baseball star and Sports Illustrated model got married Saturday at Meadowood Napa Valley Resort — the spot of their 2015 engagement — and TMZ has posted dozens of photos of the smiling couple and their equally attractive wedding party.

Davis, 26, wore two Vera Wang gowns, the New York Post’s Page Six reports. The New York Yankees legend, 42, wore a black tuxedo and white bow tie.

Former teammates Jorge Posada, Andruw Jones and Tino Martinez were among the guests, the Post reported. Tabloid made no mention of guests on Davis’ side.

Though there are no estimates of the event’s price tag, no doubt couple could afford nothing but the best: His net worth is estimated at $185 million, hers is $3 million and the engagement ring reportedly was $300.
