Christmas with the stars — not like you and me

Here’s how some celebrities are celebrating Christmas:

Mariah Carey, known for the modern classic carol “All I Want for Christmas,” actually has been known to go on a sleigh ride in the snow.

Vanessa Lachey told Us Weekly that she and her husband Nick watch the movie “Love Actually,” something they’ve done regularly since they began dating.

Royal insiders say that Prince William and his wife Duchess Kate, both 35, go to great lengths to ensure that their kids George, 4, and 2-year-old Charlotte — third and fourth in line for the British throne respectively — aren’t too spoiled. A lot of stuff that gets sent to them is donated to charity.

Blake Lively shared on Instagram an epic baking fail by her husband, Ryan Reynolds, whose decorated sugar cookies — you can barely make out a snowman — clearly wouldn’t be sanction3d by Martha Stewart. But who can argue with her caption: “He’s verrry handsome though.”

TMZ spotted Tyga getting into the holiday spirit in Beverly Hills, sporting an afro (rather than cornrows), making a purchase at Prada and driving a not-too-shabby Bugatti.

Website Gossip Cop took pains to refute a tabloid story saying that John Mayer gives his friends gifts of his own music for the holidays; a source close to the singer called it patently “not true.”

Lady Antebellum‘s Dave Haywood is having a real special year; his wife Kelli Cashiola recently gave birth. He shared the announcement of their second child with a photo and the Instagram caption: “We’d like to welcome our beautiful Christmas gift Lillie Renee Haywood.”

Stephanie (who didn’t give her last name), a formerly homeless and pregnant fan of Taylor Swift, shared a heartwarming Christmas story on the pop star’s app, commenting that the singer helped her buy a home following a meet-and-greet in Manchester, England, in which the young woman’s mother asked Swift to make her daughter “feel special” at the show.

Interestingly, even though he’s been dating Kim Kardashian since 2012, Kanye West made his first appearance in the annual Kardashian family Christmas card. The photogenic group — with kids North and Saint — looks chic in denim and white.

Cindy Crawford didn’t mess around in her holiday Instagram post, with ample text and plentiful photos, past and present, of 16-year-old daughter Kaia and 18-year-old son Presley and husband Rande Gerber.

Speaking of families, despite touchy custody issues with ex Angelina Jolie, Brad Pitt is spending time with his children over the holidays, apparently, according to OK! magazine, getting six trees (one for each kid) and a sleigh full of presents.

Not everything has been totally happy over the holiday season: “Saturday Night Live” alum Bill Hader filed for divorce from his wife Maggie Carey, citing the celeb-favorite “irreconcilable differences” as the cause.
