Warm up for Outside Lands at the Academy of Sciences

This weekend will bring a slew of bands to San Francisco for the Outside Lands music festival, but you can kick off the festivities one day earlier in Golden Gate Park by visiting the California Academy of Sciences.

Each Thursday, the Academy holds a NightLife event, and this week it will feature musicians that will be playing at Outside Lands.

The musical evening will kick off with SF-based Eskmo. The band Best Coast will play later in the night.

Also included in the evening are a handful of DJs: Motion Potion, DJ Platum and Eric Sharp.

Tickets for the Thursday event can be purchased online.

If you want to catch more bands at the Outside Lands festivities, tickets were still available be purchased online, too.
