Scoop: Lindsay could face jail after failed drug tests

We had such high hopes that Lindsay Lohan was finally getting her life back on track, but it seems she may already be going off the rails. The starlet failed not one but two drug tests last week, according to TMZ.

The paparazzi website’s sources say the starlet tested positive for cocaine on one test, but they were not specific about the substance in the second. LiLo could potentially face 30 days in jail for each failed test — and lose the privilege to leave California to film her next flick, “Inferno,” in Louisiana.

Via Twitter, Lindsay acknowledged having a “setback” and pointed out, “Substance abuse is a disease, which unfortunately doesn’t go away overnight.”

True enough, but will that move the judge?

‘Bad parenting’

LeAnn Rimes recently told Shape magazine that she had an affair with now-boyfriend Eddie Cibrian because she and Dean Sheremet wed too young and her marriage wasn’t “fulfilling.” But, apparently, her jilted ex-spouse didn’t get that memo.

“Age had very little to do with why we got divorced,” Dean told Us magazine. “I was very content and satisfied. I put myself on hold to funnel all my creative energy into her career and our marriage. I was willing to make the sacrifices necessary to have a successful marriage and further her career.

“I was blindsided and shocked that she of all people would do this to the closest person in her life.”

Meanwhile, Eddie’s ex isn’t too happy with LeAnn either. After the singer blithely tweeted that she and the former “CSI” star had taken his son to the ER for an injury — “Boys will be boys!” — his mom was outraged that she learned the news through social media.

“All I know is I didn’t get a phone call,” Brandi Glanville told E! “Poor choice. Bad parenting.”

“To be really honest, it’s not her place to tell me how to be,” LeAnn fired back through Twitter. “I respect her as their mom, but she has to understand they’re in my life. I’ve stepped into a very tough, but rewarding role.”

If we were LeAnn’s publicist, we would be begging her to delete her Twitter account ASAP.

Jessica pregnant?

National Enquirer claims there’s “a wonderful baby secret” causing Jessica Simpson’s recent weight gain, but stops short of claiming she’s pregnant. The singer is said to be so eager to conceive a child with beau and former 49ers tight end Eric Johnson that she’s already “eating for two” and has put on 15 pounds.

“It looks like Jessica’s dream of having a baby is finally coming true,” a pal allegedly told the tabloid, which said Jess “might” already have a bun in the oven. “She’s crazy in love with Eric, so they’ve decided to make a baby.”

We’re thinking she just put on some happy-in-a-new-relationship weight. Maybe the Enquirer should forget about celebrity gossip and stick to the kind of hard-hitting investigative political journalism they do best.

Danielle Staub’s car repossessed

Better hope that “Real Housewives of New Jersey” spinoff gets picked up: Recent castoff Danielle Staub’s Range Rover was repossessed Saturday morning.

“You should have seen the begging,” an eyewitness told Life&Style magazine, adding that the repo men were unmoved by her pleas.

Somewhere, Teresa Giudice is laughing hysterically.
