Scoop: Jamie Lynn Spears to marry baby daddy?

The Britney Spears camp already flat-out dismissed an OK! magazine report that she and sister Jamie Lynn are having a double wedding. But, the tabloid seems pretty confident in insisting that little sis, at least, is getting married. Maybe.

On-again beau Casey Aldridge, baby daddy to Jamie Lynn’s daughter, Maddie, reportedly bought a ring.

“They’re back together, they’ve been together about two or three months,” an insider told the magazine. “They broke up, departed ways, sold the house, and now they’re both in Nashville, living together.”

“I understand he’s given her a ring,” the source said. “Haven’t heard about a date or if they’ve decided on that, but he’s given her a ring.”

Since they initially split, the source said, “she seems to have grown up and matured more than he has. She’s got a career in Nashville, and he’s looking for a job, but I think they’re doing OK.”

Seems like life out of the spotlight is suiting her well. Does Jamie Lynn really want to get back into the entertainment industry?

Together Forever?

Is John Mayer planning to make a lifetime commitment to Jennifer Aniston? According to Star magazine, the on-off couple recently got back together to give their romance a third try (we’re a bit skeptical), and he’s already hinting that he thinks this time will be the charm.

At a Sunday Hollywood Bowl performance in Los Angeles, Jen reportedly watched at the side of the stage when the singer-songwriter declared, “I believe in second chances.”

John reportedly asked the crowd, “Who else believes that when they fall in love again, this time it will be forever? That the next time with that person, you are going to do it better?”

That’s all very well and good. But seriously, if these two are actually back together and they end up splitting up a third time, they really need to call it a day.

Mimi: ‘Superstitious’

Following a sighting of Mariah Carey in a maternity dress, the gossip mill immediately started cranking out a fresh round of pregnancy rumors. (Radar Online is reporting that she’s four months along and hubby Nick Cannon has shared the news with his inner circle.) Now, the singer has issued a deliberately noncommittal online statement about the matter.

“I appreciate everyone’s well wishes. But I am very superstitious,” the diva said. “When the time is right, everyone will know — even [my rep].”

Well, keeping mum (no pun intended) is certainly Mimi’s prerogative. But, the way she phrased that was kind of a big hint.

Driver’s Seat

Consider yourself warned: Lindsay Lohan is back behind the wheel.

After being released from rehab, one of the starlet’s first to-dos was getting her driver’s license. After stopping by the Santa Monica DMV on Tuesday, LiLo climbed into the driver’s seat of a Maserati.

The “Machete” star’s legal woes famously stem from two DUI convictions in 2007, but a judge ruled Tuesday she had completed her program, so she was in the clear to get her license back.

Still, we’d feel a lot more comfortable if she stuck to taking the bus for now.
