Scoop: Jake may be moving luggage from Reese’s

The plot thickens! Although reps for Reese Witherspoon and Jake Gyllenhaal denied to People magazine that the couple split, a Sunday visit by Jake’s assistant to Reese’s place suggests otherwise. After arriving at 7 p.m., X17 reports, the lackey spent 15 minutes inside before emerging with two pieces of luggage, which she then schlepped to Jake’s.

“She looked like she had a job to do,” paparazzi who witnessed the stop-by said. “She was in and out very quickly, and she had two bags with her in the car when she left.” Caught red-handed with the smoking … suitcases?

Alleged Tiger mistress speaks

The woman accused of having an affair with Tiger Woods — reports of which may have led to his mysterious car accident last week — has spoken out, declaring the whole story was a paid smear job by a vengeful acquaintance she describes as an alcohol-addled “train wreck.”

Rumor-mongers have alleged that Tiger’s wife Elin Nordegren flew into a jealous rage over a “National Enquirer” story shortly before he was injured pulling out of his driveway. But NYC-based event planner (or “party girl,” as she’s also been called) Rachel Uchitel insists that she has figured out who sold the lucrative tale of cheating to the tabloid — and that “the whole thing’s a lie.”

“This girl was never around me for any of the time she was saying she was,” fumes the 34-year-old beauty in an extensive (and rather rambling) interview with the New York Post intended to prove her innocence. “If I was having some big, lurid affair, I would not tell this girl.”

Rachel says she’s only met the golfing great briefly, in her capacity as a celeb liaison at nightclubs, and that the unnamed “Enquirer” source once eavesdropped on a business call in which she was dealing with a table-reservation mix-up involving Tiger’s party. “But it was nothing to do with me knowing him, about me having sex with him, text-messaging him, sexy text messages” as has been reported.

Rachel says the source was “just looking for a payday” and concocted a story around the overheard call, adding, “The whole thing’s a lie. Tiger never told me he loved me. They said they overheard him saying he loved me. It’s just stupid. I’ve never texted or talked to him on the phone.”

“I work in clubs and I am a businesswoman,” Rachel concludes. “I do not have sex with celebrities, and I have not had an affair with Tiger Woods.”

Pizza and PDA

Exes Jude Law and Sienna Miller are claiming the proximity of their Broadway gigs has simply rekindled a friendship. But if so, they appear to be the kind of friends with benefits: The former lovers shared a romantic late-night dinner date — and a very public kiss — on Thanksgiving night.

“They stopped in just after midnight,” a mole at NYC’s Emporio restaurant tells People, to share a pizza … and a $350 bottle of wine. (We personally think pizza pairs better with beer, but to each their own.)

Despite, presumably, garlic-and-pepperoni breath, the duo weren’t shy about sharing a serious smooch at their table in the front of the restaurant.

“It was long and affectionate,” relays the source. “They were sitting across from one each other. They were offered a table in the back for privacy, but turned it down. They seemed to want to be seen.”

Interesting. Sienna and Jude both have, shall we say, reputations. Maybe their publicists thought a romantic reunion would portray them as star-crossed lovers and not just players? Then again, maybe it’s as simple as the fact that they’re both unbelievably good-looking. Stay tuned …
