For the first time, Elin Nordegren is speaking out about her marriage to Tiger Woods and the devastating betrayal she endured. Just days after her divorce became final, the Swedish model appeared on the cover of People magazine saying she’s “stronger than ever” after coping with revelations of her ex-husband’s rampant cheating.
“I have been through the stages of disbelief and shock, to anger and ultimately grief over the loss of the family I so badly wanted for my children,” the mom of two said.
Of the many mistresses the disgraced golf great reportedly entertained, Elin said, “I’m so embarrassed that I never suspected — not a one.”
But, she fervently denies the scuttlebutt that she attacked him during the infamous November incident that led to his affairs being exposed.
“There was never any violence inside or outside our home,” Elin said. “The speculation that I would have used a golf club to hit him is just truly ridiculous.”
Though she has received an undisclosed but undoubtedly hefty divorce settlement, she said, “Money can’t buy happiness or put my family back together.”
The very private Elin said this is her first and will be her last interview on the subject of her marriage. What surprises us is that she agreed to talk on record at all — we’d have thought the divorce settlement came with a clause requiring her to stay silent.
Now that Lindsay Lohan is a free woman, will she go back to her partying ways? Not unless she wants to land in the slammer again. The judge who agreed to release her from rehab just three weeks into her 90-day court-ordered stay has set some strict terms for the starlet.
While LiLo continues treatment at the UCLA Medical Center on an outpatient basis, she’s required to submit to random drug and alcohol testing and attend psychotherapy sessions four times a week, TMZ reported. Failing the tests will earn her a 30-day jail sentence.
Think she’ll make it?
Just when you thought you’d heard every possible story about how Angelina Jolie and Jennifer Aniston are still warring over Brad Pitt, In Touch magazine has concocted the mother of all such tabloid tales — literally. The mag claimed that the reason Angie recently took her 2-year-old twins to Eastern Europe was purely to spite Brad’s mom, Jane Pitt, because — wait for it — she still maintains a friendship with Jen.
“Angie strongly thinks that the past is the past, and Jennifer and Jane should let each other go because their friendship is disrespectful,” a pal of the actress allegedly said. “Angie had been complaining to Brad that it’s weird for his mom to talk to his ex-wife, but Brad just brushed it off. So, she decided she didn’t want Jane watching over the twins.”
The former “Friends” star was close with her mother-in-law during her marriage to Brad, and “Jane still thinks of Jennifer as a daughter,” a friend said. “She knows that Angelina isn’t happy about the friendship, but that doesn’t stop her from keeping Jen in her life.”
While Mrs. Pitt has reputedly never really warmed up to her son’s current partner, she “cherishes her friendship with Jennifer,” and Brad sees no reason to interfere, the friend said. “He thinks Jane is a grown woman and she should be able to do what she wants.”
We still don’t get what this has to do with Angie taking the twins to Europe.
