Scoop: Demi Lovato: ‘I was a drug addict’

Jon Kopaloff/FilmMagicSinger Demi Lovato arrives at The Hollywood Reporter's 22nd Annual Women In Entertainment Breakfast 2013 at Beverly Hills Hotel on December 11

Disney diva Demi Lovato (say that fast 10 times!) opened up about her past drug problems on “Access Hollywood.”

Her drug of choice was cocaine, the New York Daily News reports, and she says she couldn’t go without it for more than “30 minutes to an hour” at a time.

“I would bring it on airplanes,” she admitted. “I would smuggle it basically and just wait until everyone in first class would go to sleep and I would do it right there.” (In her defense, she’s probably not the only person who has done that sort of thing in first class.)

She even hid her addiction from her sober traveling companion: no easy feat. The good news: She says she is now 100 percent sober.
