Scoop: Bethenny Frankel is pregnant

We all know that when a celebrity denies a rumor, there’s a good chance it will turn out to be true after all. Such was the case with the scuttlebutt floated by Perez Hilton about Bethenny Frankel being pregnant.

Although her “Real Housewives of New York City” co-star Jill Zarin maintained to Us magazine  recently that “I don’t know why someone started that” gossip, Bethenny herself revealed Tuesday that she’s indeed expecting.

“I’m pregnant,” the skinny foodie, newly engaged to beau Jason Hoppy, announced via Twitter. Though she says she’s only two months along and wanted to keep it a secret, “I had to be true [with you] but was unfairly forced to come forward early.”

“It’s premature to be telling people this,” a tearful Bethenny told People magazine. “It’s not like, ‘Did I get Botox?’ It’s not the way I wanted it to get out. I haven’t even gone through my first trimester. We haven’t even heard the heartbeat. My [fiancé’s] parents didn’t even know.”

The pregnancy is in such an early stage, explains Bethenny, who says she and Jason will wed before she delivers, that “I am praying everything is OK, but I don’t know that yet.”

However, on the bright side, she notes, “I got to be honest, we are both feeling kind of proud of ourselves. We are both 38 and we were like, ‘Listen, your fish can swim and I am fertile.’ So that’s exciting.”

Er, indeed — congrats to Bethenny and Jason!

Britney: Mom’s Blessing

Despite rumors that Britney Spears had broken up with beau Jason Trawick, the couple is evidently going strong — so strong that the singer’s mom Lynne would like her to make him husband No. 3, Us reports.

“Lynne said, ‘He’s the kind of man you would dream of your daughter marrying. The kids love him, and he’s stable,’” a source said of the pop star’s manager-boyfriend — who, indeed, has been seen spending quality time with her and sons Sean and Jayden.

During the “Circus” singer’s darkest hour, when she was hospitalized under a psychiatric hold after a string of erratic behavior, “most everyone else abandoned her, but Jason refused to be completely cut out of Britney’s life,” a source pointed out. “He’s very protective of her.”

And it appears that our Brit may finally be in an adult relationship with someone who accepts her for who she is and treats her like a grownup.

“She has been honest with Jason about what she’s been through in a way that I don’t think she’s been with other people, and he always preferred to not sugarcoat the harsh reality of what happened to her,” a friend says. “He tells her when she should take responsibility for her own actions.”

If all this is true, we’d like to see a wedding, too! Third time’s the charm?

Single Knight

Former “Grey's Anatomy” star T.R. Knight – we'll pause to let you recall who he is – has reportedly split with his beau of nearly two years, Mark Cornelsen, due to the former's, ahem, hectic schedule.

Though the pair – separated in age by 16 years – seemed totally happy when they debuted as a couple, shortly after T.R. came out as a gay man, the demands of the actor's work on the L.A. musical “Parade” evidently took their toll on the relationship. T.R. has now asked his younger beau to leave the apartment they lived in together, reports In Touch.

“It just came to a natural end, no hard feelings,” a close pal told the tabloid. “They still care about each other very much.”

Sadly, now that he's not on TV, we no longer care very much about T.R. Knight.
