Scoop: Another go-around for Ryan, Rachel?

Fans of Rachel McAdams and Ryan Gosling were heartbroken when the “Notebook” co-stars ended their real-life romance last year. (Ryan told GQ that “a girl came up to me on the street and she almost smacked me. Like, ‘How could you? How could you let a girl like that go?’”) But take comfort — it appears they’re rekindling the flame!

First, Rachel showed up to support Ryan at his DJ gig in Hollywood. Then Monday, the maybe-on-again pair dined at a Toronto restaurant. And Canada-based Web site Laineygossip.com reported that they are definitely a couple again and were seen holding hands as they ran errands together Tuesday. (In the same report, the site claims they broke up originally due to unwanted media scrutiny of the relationship — ironic, eh?)

“They’ve been talking a lot,” a source revealed to Us. “Their friends are quite pleased that they’re getting back together and are trying to give them space.”

You kids better make it work this time! Our hearts can’t take another breakup!

Jess Vs. Carrie

It’s the battle of the blond country singers! Dallas Cowboys quarterback Tony Romo’s current girlfriend, Jessica Simpson, is out to quash rumors that her man still carries a torch for his ex Carrie Underwood.

First, Jessica subtly taunted the vegetarian “American Idol” winner with a “Real Girls Eat Meat” tee. Now, she’s speaking out to deny Carrie’s recent comment to Allure that nowadays “the phone will ring and it’ll be [Tony], and I’ll maybe not answer.”

“Tony and I both laughed at that,” Jessica told a Nashville radio station. “We got a chuckle out of it.”

The former “Newlyweds” star insisted that it is “definitely” not true, because — like any self-respecting 21st-century woman — “I looked at his call log.”

You know, Jess and Tony really do seem to be in love … however, we can’t help but note that it is possible to clear your call history with the touch of a button. We’re just saying.

Mama Uma?

When celebs start dating, we clamor to know when they’re getting married. And, of course, when they announce they’re getting married, we clamor to know when they’re having kids. Uma Thurman, newly engaged to European money man Arpad Busson, is no exception. But when InStyle asked the mom of two (dad is second ex-husband Ethan Hawke) whether she plans to have another child in the future, Uma was utterly indecisive.

“I can safely say I don’t know,” the “Kill Bill” star confessed. “If it’s meant to happen, it will. I love and adore being a mother.”

As for what drew her to her hubby-to-be, Uma sighs, “Confidence, intelligence and goodness. There’s nothing sexier than that combination.”

Wonder which of those departments Ethan was lacking in?

Mommy Time?

And speaking of the “So when are they having kids?” question (apparently it’s baby day here at Scoop!), radiant newlyweds Ellen DeGeneres and Portia de Rossi — who were just married last weekend at their L.A. home — are also mulling the prospect of hearing the pitter-patter of little feet.

“We go back and forth,” Portia explains to People. “I don’t know if it’s our immediate future. It’s something we talk about every few months.”

“It’s something we would never take lightly and just say, ‘That would be fun.’ It’s a lot of work and we recognize that,” adds Ellen (who, by the way, caused controversy last year for giving away a dog she had adopted). “In a way, we want to be selfish because we love our life, but we know how much that adds to it.”

However, says the TV host, “If they would be as pretty as Brad and Angelina’s kids, we might.”

Oh, come on, Ellen, let’s be realistic here. That’s more than any of us could ever hope for!
