Scoop: Angelina rumored to be after Johnny Depp

Heeere we go again. Just as the din of Brangelina breakup rumors is dying down, Star magazine has decided that Angelina Jolie is after Johnny Depp. Evidently, the mere fact that the two are set to star in an upcoming movie together is enough for the tabloid to predict she plans to pounce on him.

The Oscar winner supposedly insisted on having one-on-one meetings at Johnny’s house to “discuss his acting method,” a source said (because, you know, his acting really needs work). “She’s already spent hours there drinking red wine with Johnny,” the so-called insider said.

Of course, both celebs, though unmarried, already have longtime partners and kids (Johnny’s lady love is French singer Vanessa Paradis; you may have heard something about Angelina seeing Brad Pitt).

But the “Tomb Raider” star — who, granted, has a history of co-star hookups — evidently isn’t bothered by the prospect of wrecking their respective homes. Her shoot with Johnny kicks off in Venice soon, and “Angie told Brad she’s going to Italy without him,” the source said. “Angie knows what she wants, and she doesn’t want Brad in the way!”

If you think this breathless tale is over the top, just wait till paps snap the first photo of Angie and Johnny on set together.

Madonna Dumped?!

We weren’t terribly shocked to hear that Madonna and boy toy Jesus Luz have split up. But what did shock us is that “it was Luz who initiated the split,” according to a Chicago Sun-Times report. Talk about biting the hand that feeds you!

Despite the perks of being Her Madgesty’s beau — like high-profile modeling gigs — Jesus evidently realized they weren’t really a match.

“The problem is as simple as it is obvious — it’s the age difference,” a source pointed out to the U.K.’s Sun. That would be 28 years, if you’re counting, which is five years more than the Brazilian hottie has been alive.

“How it even lasted a year seems a miracle to a lot of people” (including us), the source said. “They are in such different places in their lives. They both benefited, but it’s pretty much over now.”

Well, it’s a bummer we can’t make any more Madonna and Jesus jokes. But dare we hope that this will drive Madge back into the arms of also-single Sean Penn?

‘Gossip’ Rumblings

“Gossip Girl” stars Ed Westwick and Jessica Szohr apparently are stirring up some gossip of their own — namely, speculation that their off-screen romance is on the rocks. One crew member saw the starlet flee to her dressing room in tears, an insider told Life & Style Weekly magazine.

“They are still together, but things have seemed very tense between them the past few weeks,” the source said.

And in late January, Ed was reportedly spotted at L.A.’s Melrose Bar and Grill hanging with a pal and two women. “It looked like he was on a double date,” an observer, er, observed. And yes, they left together. Well, maybe he was just being a good wingman?
