Scarlett Johansson is dating UK rocker Dan White, report says

Does Scarlett Johansson have a new rocker beau? According to a U.K. tabloid report, the actress is now seeing British musician Dan White of the Tribes.

“They met in London recently,” a source dishes to the Mirror. “Scarlett was shooting the film ‘Under the Skin’ in the U.K. and they were introduced at a club night in town. They got on like a house on fire and Scarlett was into his band’s music. There was an instant connection.”

Since then, “They’ve been seeing each other for a good few weeks,” says the source. “Dan’s proper happy about it — and what guy wouldn’t be? He already thinks the world of Scarlett.”

But apparently it remains to be seen whether the Hollywood star and the up-and-coming guitarist will last for the long haul.

“They both have incredibly busy lives, but are going to see where things go,” notes the insider. “Dan’s band Tribes is only just taking off and Scarlett has a lot of work on. So who knows?”

Well, ScarJo doesn’t exactly have the best track record with relationships … so who knows, indeed?

Kobe Bryant isn’t even officially single yet … and already he has been linked with multiple ladies.

The basketball player, whose wife Vanessa filed for divorce last week after 10 years of marriage, is said by Radar Online to be close to brunette beauty Carla DiBello, a Kim Kardashian gal pal.

Meanwhile, a source tells the New York Daily News that actress Sanaa Lathan was flirting with him at the Jay-Z and Kanye West concert at Los Angeles’ Staples Center.

“There was no flirting,” Kobe’s rep insists. “There’s nothing there.”

But the spy says Sanaa was “whispering in his ear” and even stroked his face, remarking, “It seemed like a pretty intimate gesture.” The pair are said to have danced together.

“There was no touching of the face, and he did not dance with her,” Kobe’s rep counters.

Meanwhile, sources tell TMZ that Vanessa allegedly caught her husband cheating “very recently” — and that she had busted him with “multiple women” over the years but finally got fed up and decided to end the marriage.

We have a feeling that Kobe will be a very interesting addition to the L.A. singles scene.

Ring’s the thing

Britney Spears’ sparkling new engagement ring was inspired by beau Jason Trawick’s vision of the pop star as his “princess,” jeweler Neil Lane explains to People.

“Jason is a romantic,” the bling designer declares, “and when I asked him to tell me about Britney and what the ring would represent to them so I could find inspiration, his response was always the same — she is his princess!”

So Neil came up with the concept of a tiara-inspired ring, featuring a round white diamond in a platinum setting reminiscent of a crown. Although “Jason didn’t want an over-the-top ring with a giant stone,” Neil says, there are
90 small round diamonds around the band. You know, nothing over-the-top.

When Britney’s now-fiancé finally saw the ring, “Oh, my God, he loved it,” says Neil, adding, “The guy was so excited and nervous. At the end of the day, even with all the fame, he’s still a normal guy who was about to propose to the woman he loves.”

“He’s deeply in love with her. Britney is his princess and he is her knight in shining armor,” says the jeweler. “Jason’s protective of her. He adores her. Every good fairy tale needs a princess, and now Britney has a ring fit for a princess!”

Dreamy sighs all around!
