Ryan O’Neal wants Farrah Fawcett’s Warhol

Ryan O’Neal has been locked in a vicious battle — par for the course for this dude — with Farrah Fawcett’s alma mater, the University of Texas, Austin, over an Andy Warhol painting of Fawcett.

The case has gone to trial, where jurors will determine whether the actress wanted the portrait at the school or with O’Neal, her longtime romantic partner.

According to Fox News, Fawcett’s will states that all of her artwork go to Texas. But O’Neal claims she gave it to him as a gift, and it’s his now.

Estimates of the portrait’s worth are as high as $10 million. It looks as though O’Neal may not have much to stand on, if the will indeed names the university as “sole beneficiary of all of her works of art.”

It also doesn’t help that UT claims O’Neal took it from her condo after her death, although his version of the story is that he wanted to protect it from salty air at the beachside residence.
