Red Carpet: Symphony opens big season with gusto

San Francisco Symphony’s 99th Season Opening Gala: Patrons of the arts celebrated the orchestra’s opening Tuesday evening at Davies Symphony Hall and surroundings. Patrons and Symphonix dinners preceded the concert, led by Michael Tilson Thomas and featuring soprano Jessye Norman and the Symphony Chorus directed by Ragnar Bohlin. Post-performance festivities took place in City Hall and the Tent Pavilion.
