Red Carpet: Santana steps up for fashion

Carlos showcase: Expanding beyond the realm of music, guitarist Carlos Santana presented Carlos, his fall collection of footwear and handbags, on Friday at Macy’s Union Square. The event was part of Fashion’s Night Out, a city-, region- and nationwide shopping party sponsored by local and national retailers.

A very special ‘Shanghai’ tour

Asian Art Museum luncheon: On Sept. 2, U.S. Sen. Dianne Feinstein and Richard Blum joined Asian Art Museum Director Jay Xu and guests for a luncheon in the museum’s Peterson Room and a special tour of the “Shanghai” show. As founder of the San Francisco-Shanghai Sister City relationship, Feinstein has particular interest in the comprehensive exhibition showcasing the vibrant Chinese city.
