Levi’s “Give Them Hope Now”: On Sept. 16, jeanswear company Levi’s held a fundraiser for its “Give Them Hope Now” campaign in support of the Hetrick-Martin Institute, home of Harvey Milk High School. HMI is a nonprofit agency
dedicated to serving the lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender and questioning youth community. Roughly 250 special guests attended the event, including 49ers legend Joe Montana and Olympic gold medalist Kristi Yamaguchi.

Documentary director weighs in on a very big issue

“The September Issue” screening: On Sept. 10, Vanessa Getty hosted a screening of “The September Issue” for director R.J. Cutler, who took questions from the audience. “The September Issue” is a documentary tracing the drama behind the creation of Vogue magazine’s September 2007 issue, the single largest ever published by a magazine.
