Rapper Heavy D has died

Gossip website TMZ is reporting today that influential ’90s rapper Heavy D has died. He was 44 years old.

According to reports, Heavy D was rushed to a Los Angeles hospital around noon and was pronounced dead about an hour later.

A call to 911 was placed from Heavy D’s house around 11:25 a.m. reporting an unconscious male on the walkway.

When help arrived he was reportedly conscious and speaking, TMZ reports. There are no signs of foul play.
