Places to go, people to see

The 31st annual San Francisco Free Folk Festival features live folk, blues, acoustic and international music, along with music and dance workshops, dance parties and family activities. JouJou, Karpov, Nicola Swinburne, Sauce Piquante, and Mamadou and Vanessa perform.

The fun runs from noon to 10 p.m. Saturday at City College, North Gym, 50 Phelan Ave., San Francisco. Admission is free; visit www.sffolkfest.org.
