NeNe Leakes having fun talkin’ trash on ‘Girls Nite Out’

Since 2008, NeNe Leakes has earned laughs, roasting her fellow cast mates on Bravo’s “The Real Housewives of Atlanta.”

She promises to dig into “those thirsty housewives, those dusty girls” more before rejoining them for Season 10, in her new stand up comedy show, “Girls Nite Out for Laughs.”

“I’m gonna be onstage with a lot of fun, fun women that night — Loni Love of ‘The Real,’ Tiffany Haddish of ‘Girls Trip,’ Adele Givens of ‘The Queens of Comedy,’ Melanie Comarcho and Hope Flood — gossiping and talking a whole lotta s—,” Leakes says.

But at “Girls Nite Out for Laughs,” which hits Oakland’s Paramount Theatre Saturday for two shows, Leakes will expand her smack-talking targets to include her husband, who she divorced and remarried, her two children, the Kardashian and Jenner clans and even the president of the United States.

“Like what about those Kardashians, honey, who are having three babies on the way, are making a lot of money and cannot leave that brown meat alone? Then there’s our bald-headed president, Donald Trump. Yes, that toupee that’s running the White House, honey.“

Leakes has no qualms about criticizing Trump, who she worked with on “The Celebrity Apprentice 4,” back in 2010/11.

“He keeps it a little too real,” she says. I just think he speaks out a little too much to be a president. I think he should delete his Twitter account, because his fingers are very compulsive.”

Humor and wit have served the reality star well, winning her spots on two Ryan Murphy comedies, first as coach Roz Washington on Fox’s “Glee” and then as assistant-turned-TV-producer Rocky Rhoades on NBC’s “The New Normal.”

She went on to join E’s “Fashion Police,” to deliver hilarious red-carpet critiques. She calls it a hereditary trait.

“I really feel like funny is in our family,” Leakes says. “Everybody is super silly. We’re one of those families that gets together and likes to laugh all the time.”

Since trying her hand at stand up with her “So Nasty So Rude” one-woman show, back in 2016, Leakes has dreamt of touring with a team of funny women. If the Oakland date does well, she hopes to tour the show nationwide with a revolving lineup.

“I’d love to see ‘Girls Nite Out for Laughs’ become a huge success across the country,” she says. “I want to make people laugh and have an amazing time.”
