Arts of Pacific Asia Show preview gala: On Thursday at Fort Mason Center, the Asian Art Museum hosted a preview gala for the 16th annual Arts of Pacific Asia Show, a top destination for collectors, curators and art investors. Proceeds from the party benefited the Asian Art Museum Chong-Moon Lee Center for Art and Culture.

Modern art fans launch fundraiser

SFMOMA Modern Ball launch party: On Wednesday at the Georgio Armani store on Post Street, San Francisco Museum of Modern Art patrons gathered to kick off planning for the institution’s major fundraiser, slated for April 25 at the museum. The bash will include three parties in one — a dinner, supper club and postmodern party, the latter featuring electrofunk duo Chromeo.

Fashion, philanthropy join forces to assist homeless families

Compass Family Services benefit: On Wednesday, Katie Traina and Philanthropist Boutique hosted a cocktail gathering to announce the Sacramento Street store’s new beneficiary, Compass Family Services, a San Francisco nonprofit serving homeless families and children. Though March 31, all of the store’s profits will be donated to the charity.
