Liam Hemsworth’s brothers staged an “intervention” to get him to dump his fiancee, Miley Cyrus, Us Weekly magazine reports.

If it went anything like the TV show, they told him that they “loved him very much but felt like they were losing him,” right after they showed collages of him in happier days before he shacked up with the half-naked former “Hannah Montana” star.

“They want him to end the romance for good,” said a source, who maddeningly left out why they hate her so much in the first place.

The pair are still engaged, though rumors continue to swirl that they’re becoming estranged. “Liam’s pulling away,” says another “insider.”

Looks like blood is indeed thicker than Billy Ray Cyrus’ daughter.

Shocker: Psychic was wrong

This probably won’t come as much of a surprise, but TV psychic Sylvia Browne was dead wrong when it came to predicting the fate of Amanda Berry, one of the young women taken captive in Cleveland.

Browne appeared on “The Montel Show” in 2004 and, according to Fox, spoke with Berry’s mother, who was of course torn up over her daughter’s disappearance. Browne told her that Amanda was “in heaven and on the other side,” and that her final words were, “Goodbye, mom, I love you.” Berry’s mother herself passed away a year later.

Now people are sending Browne hate mail on her Facebook page in droves, calling her a fraud, a parasite, disgusting and a joke. “I feel very bad,” writes Browne on FB. “I’m so so glad that I was wrong.”

The show must go

If only someone had made “American Idol” sign a do not resuscitate order!

Ratings are down 25 percent, and instead of simply dumping Mariah Carey — which is a rumor going around — now it seems that some at Fox want to ax the entire judging crew and start over with four new celebs.

“Yes, we want to do a whole new panel,” someone at the network told blogger Perez Hilton.

Here’s an idea: Let the show die. It’s better to burn out than to fade away, no? Randy Jackson already figured it out, and on Thursday announced that this season will be his last, the Associated Press said.
