A group calling itself The Syrian Electronic Army hacked into the Twitter account of E! Online and confirmed what we have always known: Justin Bieber is gay (OK, just kidding).

The group, according to the New York Daily News, attempted to wreak havoc through false tweets about how Angelina Jolie blames the Syrian crisis on Jordan (who’s he?) and last week’s erroneous claim that the White House had been bombed. The Wall Street Journal claims that the group supports Syrian President Bashar Assad.

So is this the beginning of a new era of tabloid terrorism? Stay tuned.
