Lady Gaga has worn some pretty scary costumes in the past, but those are likely to pale in comparison to the duds she’ll wear on the next season of “American Horror Story.”

FX confirmed Gaga’s star role Wednesday after Gaga tweeted a video of herself in a mask whispering the name of the anthology series’ fifth season: “American Horror Story: Hotel,” according to The Hollywood Reporter.

Gaga, who was pelted with accolades for her “Sound of Music” tribute at the Oscars on Sunday, is the first star confirmed for the upcoming season of “American Horror Story,” which has previously featured Oscar winners Kathy Bates and Jessica Lange.

Gaga’s tweet was the first mention of the theme of the upcoming season of the series, which has previously visited covens, circus freak shows and psychiatric hospitals.

“American Horror Story: Hotel” has the ring of a “Bates Motel” clone, but surely Gaga will find a way to incorporate her famous meat dress.

LILO TO REDO COMMUNITY SERVICE

Community service evokes many images: planting trees, spearing trash by the side of the road, rapping with at-risk teenagers. Lindsay Lohan’s idea of community service was doing a play in London’s glitzy West End, which is why a judge has ordered a do-over.

“Our feeling is that what she did was community service,” LiLo’s lawyer told TMZ.

“Granted, she was performing in the play, but she made arrangements for a number of people to come to the play,” many of whom would never have been able to afford a primo ticket to a mediocre production of “Speed-the-Plow.”

Lohan must return to court March 12 and choose a new form of community service, according to The Associated Press, preferably one where she actually performs a service.
