At Foothill College’s Wild Cat Adventure, visitors will get the opportunity to get up close and personal with five live wild cats.
Presented by Leopards Etc. and the Wild Cat Education and Conservation Fund, the show may feature species including cheetah, ocelot, caracal, snow leopard, African leopard, lynx and California’s own majestic cougar.
Leopards Etc.’s Rob and Barbara Dicely have educated more than 600,000 people about big cats in their 18 years in the Bay Area. Their work with the nonprofit Wild Cat Education and Conservation Fund is dedicated to opening the public’s eyes about the dwindling wild cat population around the world, and to provide funding for future cat conservation projects.
The event takes place at 2 p.m. Aug. 24 at Foothill College, 1345 El Monte Road, Los Altos Hills, in room 5015. Admission is $10 general; $5 for children under 12. For more information, call (707) 874-3176 or e-mail leopards@leopardsetc.com.
