Kate Upton upset with Victoria’s Secret over ad photo

For a women’s line, Victoria’s Secret sure has a lot of gall. Despite once dissing model Kate Upton, the brand has now used a 2011 shot of Upton in a black bra in one of its catalogs — something the New York Post claims is really ticking off the buxom hottie.

Why? Maybe it’s because Victoria’s Secret model broker Sophia Neophitou told The New York Times last year, “We would never use Kate… she’s like a footballer’s wife, with the too-blond hair and that kind of face that anyone with enough money can go out and buy.” Hold on now, didn’t she just describe the sort of people who purchase Victoria’s Secret products?

A source told the Post that Upton is not currently contracted with the underwear company and that they did not give her a heads up that they would be using the photo. Since Upton currently graces the cover of Vogue magazine (in your face, mall-wear!), she should probably renegotiate her price.
