It’s getting harder and harder to keep hatin’ on Justin Bieber when he goes and tapes “Between Two Ferns” with Zach Galifianakis on Funny or Die and handles the abuse with grace and aplomb.

Bieber even has some good comedic delivery, especially when he stares blankly after the host delivers zingers like, “You’ve had three hairstyles. What’s next for your career?” and, “When you’re in the recording studio do you ever think, um, ‘Hey what if I don’t make something s****y?’”

At the end of the clip, Galifianakis gets to do something that most of us would just love to attempt: He whips off his belt and spanks the teen idol for being “cocky” and having a bad attitude. Comedic gold, people.
