Johnny Depp, Vanessa Paradis part ways

Johnny Depp, Vanessa Paradis part ways

Before admitting Tuesday that they had parted ways, Johnny Depp and Vanessa Paradis insisted for months that rumors of a split were false. But the couple were not lying — they were actually trying desperately to keep their romance alive.

The parents of two, together since 1998, “tried for months to save the relationship,” a source told People magazine, “but have known for weeks that it couldn’t be saved.”

The announcement was allegedly scheduled to take place after the French singer-actress had flown to Paris to promote her new film.

“It was all decided before she got on that plane,” the source said.

Think she fully considered facing the media at this time?

Middle-Age Romance?

OK, this is one of the weirder celebrity flirtation stories we’ve ever heard. John Mayer was apparently trying to put the moves on very-much-attached “Hunger Games” star Jennifer Lawrence during an outing with mutual friends.

But get this: The site of the outing, according to Radar Online, was Los Angeles’ Medieval Times theme restaurant … and the pair were even dressed in Middle Ages garb for the occasion. Really?!

A bodice-clad Jennifer was supposedly loving the attention that a puffy-shirted John was lavishing on her. “She kept giggling and covering her mouth. It was cute,” an observer reportedly observed.

“And John was eyeing up Jennifer like he was a dog and she was a juicy pork chop!” the source said.

John even made theme jokes, per the source: “He’s really well-read, so he kept using his knowledge of the medieval era to make puns and crack everyone up. He was even putting on an English accent at times and ordering ‘beer-eth.’ Jennifer thought he was a riot.

This story sounds so impossible we’re supposed to believe it’s real, right? Nice try with the double-reverse fake-out strategy, Radar, but no. Just no.

Good Romance

A source close to Lady Gaga wants to clarify: She’s not back on with Taylor Kinney. Because they were never off in the first place!

“She’s been on a worldwide tour, so they can’t be together as much as they would like,” the source told In Touch magazine.  “But they talk multiple times a day, and she even wears a ring that Taylor gave her on a necklace.”

This all sounds so high school.
