John Mayer accused of breaking up TV chef's marriage

Dan Steinberg/APTV chef Giada De Laurentiis filed for divorce from her husband Tuesday.

Itinerant heartbreaker John Mayer must be stopped.

When Food Network star Giada De Laurentiis and her husband, Todd Thompson, filed for divorce Tuesday after 11 years of marriage, they only cited the classic “irreconcilable differences.” On Wednesday, however, Radar Online pointed an accusing finger at singer Mayer, who is more known for his dalliances than his music.

The source for site's hot scoop? A steamy report in the Star tabloid … from 2010. Way back when, the two reportedly shared an illicit rendezvous at New York's sexy Hotel Gansevoort.

“They looked like two people who were going to go home together,” Radar quoted one witness as saying. In addition to De Laurentiis, Mayer has been romantically linked to Taylor Swift, Katy Perry, Jennifer Love Hewitt, Jessica Simpson, Minka Kelly, Jennifer Aniston, et al.

BROWN BUNGLES OVERSEAS TRIP

Chris Brown canceled a New Year's Eve concert in the Philippines at the last minute, reportedly because of a lost passport, organizers said.

Brown tweeted: “Due to unfortunate circumstances I can't bring in the new year with you.”

The organizers at Maligaya Development Corp. said they were informed by Brown's local representatives Wednesday afternoon that he was still in Los Angeles.

“According to them, Chris Brown lost his passport the day before the scheduled event,” it said in a statement. “Hence despite having entered into a contract with us, Chris Brown would not be able to comply with his obligation to perform.”

Brown was set to perform along with other musical acts at the 55,000-seat Philippine Arena in the New Year's Eve concert, which also featured a fireworks show.
