Is revenge why J.Lo is dating a younger man?

What drew Jennifer Lopez to her new younger beau? That is the question posed by OK! in an article with the obnoxious headline “Why Jennifer Lopez Went Cougar With Casper Smart.” (We can’t make this stuff up, people.)

Since splitting with husband Marc Anthony, the foxy-at-42 J.Lo has taken up with her 24-year-old backup dancer — and it appears things are already pretty serious, seeing as how they’ve vacationed with her and Marc’s young twins.

“Jennifer knows people are calling her a cougar, but she doesn’t care,” a source says. “Casper makes her feel sexier than she’s felt in years. The fact that he’s so much younger is a little bit about revenge. She loves that Marc knows she’s with a guy half his age.”

But that’s not to say that Jennifer is only interested in getting back at her ex. “The bigger picture with Casper is how he makes her feel,” says the insider. “She’s totally carefree and has her lust for life back.”

Well, if that’s what “going cougar” entails, it sure doesn’t sound so bad!

Outside Help

After getting arrested for alleged cocaine possession with intent to distribute, Brooke Mueller has reluctantly been persuaded by loved ones to enter a rehab program, TMZ reports. The former Mrs. Charlie Sheen’s rep says that after multiple stints in in-patient rehab, she’s trying something different: treatment in which she’ll visit a facility during the day, then return home at night.

Afterhours, her rep avows, Brooke will continue to be “under expert supervision 24 hours a day, seven days a week.”

And she’ll undergo drug testing: “Brooke has requested to be tested on a daily basis for cocaine and other illegal substances so there is no doubt as to her commitment,” her rep says.

Reportedly Brooke made the decision to stay at home while seeking treatment so as not to disrupt the regularity of her schedule with twin toddler sons Bob and Max — and Charlie is supportive. According to TMZ, he does not intend to seek full custody of the boys.

Well, we never thought we’d say this, but in the long run, at-home rehab seems to have worked out pretty well for Charlie himself.

No Model Girlfriend

Kate Winslet’s model ex is smarting over their split. Though Louis Dowler was linked with the “Titanic” star for a year or so, starting shortly after her split from director husband Sam Mendes (ahem — rebound), she seems to have dumped him rather unceremoniously, to hear him tell the tale.

“I don’t think Kate behaved well, and it is still very raw for me … I was in love with her, and you can’t switch that off overnight,” Louis lamented to the U.K.’s Daily Mail. “I thought we were inseparable. I certainly haven’t found anyone else since.”

“I don’t want to go into details, but it wasn’t a straightforward break-up,” Louis said. “I’m a laid-back guy, so I am not walking around with a long face — but I do still hold a torch for her.”

Kate is now dating Richard Branson’s nephew, the so-called Ned Rocknroll, after an August vacation — with Louis — when the billionaire’s resort was destroyed by fire.

Now that’s gotta hurt. Getting dumped is bad enough, but it’s a whole other level of embarrassment to get dumped for a guy who legally changed his name to “Ned Rocknroll.”
