Gwyneth Paltrow, Chris Martin divorce gets complex

So much for “conscious uncoupling”: The split between Gwyneth Paltrow and Chris Martin is getting mighty messy.

Radar Online reports that Martin, 37, fears his ex is spreading cheating rumors about him so he will appear “less sympathetic,” and that Paltrow, 41, plans to take him to the cleaners when it comes to squeezing spousal support from him.

“Chris now believes that Gwyneth is leaking rumors about his alleged trysts in an effort to sully his image and make him look less sympathetic,” a source told Radar.

The insider also said the Oscar-winning actress, despite her own multimillion-dollar fortune, believes she deserves a settlement of at least a lump sum of $25 million from the Coldplay frontman because he is the breadwinner, and because their kids — Apple, 9, and Moses, 8 — will live with her most of the time.

Together, the pair is worth a $280 million, according to the website, which displays pictures of homes they own in New York, the Hamptons, Brentwood in Southern California, Malibu and London.
